Rebecca Tafaro Boyer is a dedicated pediatric nurse with a decade and a half of experience, including 11 years in Pediatric Hematology Oncology. Since 2021, she has managed the Vascular Access Team at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. With a multidisciplinary team, she led the successful launch of an RN-led bedside PICC insertion program and a centralized workflow for hospital-wide CVC requests, improving both patient care and efficiency. In her role, she values the balance of administrative duties and clinical practice alongside the St. Jude Vascular Access Team.
Rebecca earned her MSN from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2013 and holds certifications in Nursing Leadership, Pediatric Hematology Oncology, and Vascular Access. Her expertise spans nursing administration, infection control, clinical logistics, and evidence-based practice. A strong advocate for just culture and transformational leadership, she fosters a collaborative, supportive environment that empowers her team and enhances patient outcomes.
