Melanie Kinder, MSN, RN, VA-BC
Melanie Kinder, MSN, RN, VA-BC is an experienced vascular access leader with extensive expertise in acute care, inpatient care, critical care, and medical-surgical nursing. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing Education from Walden University and currently leads and educates a Vascular Access Team serving a large Atlanta-region health system.
Melanie is passionate about advancing evidence-based vascular access practices through education, collaboration, and continuous professional development. She is committed to bringing the latest clinical knowledge back to her organization to support innovation, improve patient outcomes, and reduce central line-associated bloodstream infections (CLABSIs). To foster a culture of learning, she established a Unit Practice Council and a monthly journal club, empowering team members to critically evaluate emerging evidence and translate best practices into patient care. These initiatives have strengthened staff engagement while contributing to improved clinical outcomes.
