Dr. Michael Stern, MD, embarked on his educational journey with dual engineering degrees from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Subsequently, he earned his medical degree from Albany Medical College. His commitment to excellence led him to complete surgical residency at Maine Medical Center, followed by a Surgical Critical Care fellowship and a Device Design Fellowship at the University of Michigan. Currently, Dr. Stern holds the position of Director of Surgical Intensive Care and serves as the Hospital Physician Champion for Vascular Access at Corewell Health. Leveraging his expertise, he plays a pivotal role in enhancing patient care within the organization. Prior to this, he held key roles, including Vascular Access Medical Director at Central Maine Medical Center and Pediatric Surgical Intensivist at the Michigan Medicine’s C.S. Mott Hospital. Dr. Stern is known for his strong background in healthcare technology and innovation. His dedication to advancing healthcare and improving patient outcomes establishes him as a leader in the healthcare industry.
