As 2021 ends, we would like to thank you for reading the Eloquest healthcare Blog! We hope you have found our posts during the last 12 months to be both informative and impactful to your professional career. Here are some of the past year’s highlights…
One of our favorite posts of the year arrived in March and was a review of the 2021 Infusion Therapy Standards of Practice. Our “3 Questions with…” vlog series continues to be a fan favorite! This year, two notable experts in their respective fields, Jo Ann Brooks PhD, RN, FAAN, FCCP and S. Matthew Gibson, RN, CRNI, VA-BC, CPUI answered questions on the latest insights, evidence and current clinical practice. View our “3 Questions with…” vlog library here!
We took a brief break from clinically-focused topics and dedicated one post very important to Eloquest, finding ways to give back to your community and lending support to those who need it most amidst the current pandemic. It was a great year for virtual education opportunities! Eloquest sponsored five webinars in 2021 and most offered free CEs. With each educational webinar we take the opportunity to summarize the important data points in a blog post. This year, we sponsored webinars on reducing CAUTI risk, reduction in VAD and infusion complications via enhanced securement and catheter stabilization, a QI project to decrease premature dressing changes due to disruption, implementation of a vascular access specialty team (VAST), a 3-part series on vascular access jamboree teams and standardized post-op dressing protocol to improve outcomes.
