Lee Steere (RN, CRNI, VA-BC) holds national certification in Certified Registered Nurse Infusion as well as Vascular Access Board Certification. An RN for 24 years, he manages the IV Therapy Services Department at Hartford Hospital in Harford, CT. He is the chair of Hartford Healthcare’s Clinical Value Team and is a member of their HAI Committee.
As an experienced speaker, Steere has presented at regional and national INS and AVA conference meetings. His AVA 2019 presentation on peripheral intravenous catheters placed using a 5 Rights bundled approach was based on his recent publication: Reaching One Peripheral Intravenous Catheter (PIVC) Per Patient Visit With Lean Multimodal Strategy: the PIV5Rights™ Bundle/September 2019 JAVA.
