For the last ten years, Eloquest Healthcare Inc. has put an emphasis on giving back to the community. It is something we do as an organized team, and also something we encourage our employees to do as individuals in their communities. As individuals, philanthropy and volunteering can have a significant impact on our lives. Unlike other aspects of life that we may not be able to control, volunteering allows you to choose where and how to make a difference. It’s easy to get inspired with a cause you truly care about-and it’s rewarding to see your direct impact.

Companies that encourage community involvement have the opportunity to distinguish themselves from their competitors, and see many benefits, including loyal customers and happier employees. Look at your community to see what is important. Are there organizations whose needs align with services or goods your company provides? For example, Eloquest Healthcare has a strong partnership with the Ronald McDonald House Charities (© RMHC).

Helping a sick child fight their illness takes a big enough emotional toll on a family. Adding a financial strain can make it all almost too much to bear. RMHC can help address those problems, whether they involve housing that’s near a hospitalized child, the expense of staying together in another city, or even getting basic medical and dental care in a vulnerable community. RMHC has local Chapters in more than 64 countries and regions. Our home office volunteers at our local RMHC in Detroit, Michigan, and our territory managers have been able to build relationships and volunteer with their local chapters throughout the country as well.

Because Eloquest Healthcare’s products support strategies that prevent hospital acquired infections and provide better outcomes, higher quality and lower healthcare costs – partnering with RMHC, an organization dedicated to providing stability and resources for families everywhere, our relationship lends the perfect opportunity to engage our employees in community service that speaks to their industry and interests.

Eloquest Healthcare Inc. President and CEO, Tim O’Halla, speaks on the value and power of giving back as a business. “One of the Core Values we hold at Eloquest Healthcare is that we must actively support our communities. We believe that each of us is called to share our abundance and that we all are literally “wired” with the desire to make a positive difference in the life of others.

Here at Eloquest, we put those beliefs into action by providing each of our associates with paid days off to volunteer in their communities. We also have a Charitable Match Program in which we financially support the medical charities that our colleagues choose to support.

Living out this Core Value is how we give back to the communities that sustain our business and that have provided us with the people who are Eloquest Healthcare, Inc. We also get to experience the joy of making a difference in the lives of others, and that’s a pretty good feeling.”

As we all juggle busy schedules, figuring out where to begin the volunteer process can feel daunting. If you are part of a group such as your local AVA chapter, reach out and see if they currently offer any volunteer opportunities. You can also visit websites such as to find organizations in your area that are in need of volunteers.
